Israeli forces released the director of the al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani a few hours after his arrest early on Monday.
Israeli police forces raided the home of al-Kiswani in al-Tur neighborhood in the occupied city and took him into custody.
The Israeli police also confiscated a computer and a number of mobile phones during the raid.
Al-Kiswani’s arrest came a few hours after he gave press statements exposing the Israeli violations in al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Kiswani was earlier threatened to be denied access to al-Aqsa Mosque over his statements against Israeli attacks on the holy site.
