A mass demonstration was organized on Friday in al-Wehdat refugee camp in the Jordanian capital of Amman in protest at the US administration’s decision to cut funds to UNRWA.
The demonstrators condemned the decision which they described as “dangerous” saying that it would adversely affect the future of Palestinians in refugee camps.
They called for immediate international action to save UNRWA from the financial crisis it is suffering from stressing that keeping UNRWA’s operations running would protect the Palestinian refugees’ right to return.
