Dozens of Palestinians injured in Friday weekly clashes

Saturday 13-November-2021

At least 83 Palestinian were injured on Friday afternoon after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently suppressed anti-settlement weekly protests in Nablus towns.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported 5 rubber bullet injuries during the clashes in Beita town. A foreign peace activist was among the injured.

Furthermore 62 suffered from tear gas inhalation and two burn injuries were also recorded in the town due to the IOF assault.

Similar clashes broke out in Beit Dajan town between IOF soldiers and unarmed citizens where at least 9 Palestinians suffered teargas inhalation problems.

Palestinians typically hold weekly demonstrations on Friday to protest Israel’s illegal settlement activities and the separation wall that snakes through the occupied West Bank.

Israel began construction of the wall which separates the Jewish state from the West Bank in 2002 as part of its apartheid policy against Palestinians.

Over 750000 Israeli settlers live in more than 230 settlements illegally built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank in flagrant violation of international laws and resolutions.

Under international law all Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are considered illegal.
