Dozens of Palestinians from Qalansuwa city and nearby Arab town in the 1948 occupied lands rallied on Saturday evening at the main entrance to the city in protest at the Israeli demolition policy against Palestinian homes in their areas.
The participants in the protest carried placards and chanted slogans condemning the arbitrary practices of the Israeli authorities towards Qalansuwa and other Arab areas especially their refusal to approve zoning and construction plans.
The protest took place as local residents were expecting an Israeli court verdict to issue in the evening a final verdict on appeals filed against the authorities’ intent to demolish three homes in Qalansuwa.
However lawyers representing the homeowners intend to file additional objections and appeals against the demolition orders.
