Dozens of school children (under age 14) were injured on Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a teargas attack on them in the southern area of al-Khalil City.
Principal of al-Khalil Elementary School Qusay al-Ja’bari said that Israeli soldiers showered his students with a hail of tear gas canisters as they were leaving their school and walking in streets in the southern area and near the Ibrahimi Mosque.
He added that dozens of students suffered from their exposure to tear gas and some others were hurt in a stampede as a result of the IOF attack.
Last week several students and teachers were injured after the IOF stormed classrooms in al-Hajriya School in the southern area of al-Khalil and assaulted them.
