Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday morning led by extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick and carried out provocative tours under heavy police protection.
Eyewitnesses reported that Jewish settlers performed some religious and Talmudic rituals before they assembled in the eastern region of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The settler incursions are part of periodic tours aiming to change the fait accompli in the Holy City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
During the evening incursions the Israeli police provided the settlers an additional half hour between 12:30 and 2:00 instead of 1:30.
The Temple groups had urged the Israeli occupation authorities to tighten their grip over Jerusalemites harass them and banish them from Jerusalem. They pointed out the necessity of exploiting the American support for Israel and push towards more Judaization projects.
Calls continue for all Muslims in 1948 occupied Palestine and the people of Jerusalem to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque to repel the Jewish settlers’ incursions.
According to a periodic report issued by Hamas’s media office in West Bank the occupation forces committed 1854 violations against the Palestinians and their lands in the West Bank and Jerusalem during October.
The number of attacks on places of worship and sanctuaries was 28 while the number of settlers who broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque reached 1057.
