Dozens of Palestinian citizens observed the Friday khutba (sermon) and prayer in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in solidarity with local families who are facing displacement threats and different Israeli violations.
After finishing the prayer at the Sheikh Jarrah Mosque the worshipers marched in the neighborhood while chanting religious slogans.
In brief speeches some local residents affirmed that they and their families would remain steadfast in their homes and on their lands regardless of daily Israeli provocations and repressive practices.
“We performed the Friday prayer in Sheikh Jarrah to confirm to the entire world that the local residents are the rightful owners and that there is no place here for settlers or Ben Gvir” Sheikh Ra’ed Da’na who led the congregation stated during the march.
“The land is ours Jerusalem is ours al-Aqsa is ours the air is ours the sky is ours and Allah with His might is with us and the Sheikh Jarrah residents will inevitably be victorious” he added.
