Dozens suffer from tear gas in Israeli raid in Abu Dis

Dozens of Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas on Wednesday when the Israeli occupation police stormed Abu Dis town clashed with local youths and attacked al-Quds University campus.

According to local sources police forces randomly and deliberately fired volleys of tear gas canisters at al-Quds University campus and passersby on nearby streets during clashes with a group of local youths in Abu Dis.

In Nablus Israeli occupation forces stormed al-Hebla neighborhood in the Old City broke into and ransacked the house of martyr Hani Owaijan and raided Ras al-Ein neighborhood and the area around Mount Gerizim with no reported arrests.

Israeli soldiers also set up makeshift checkpoints on Surra road and Deir Sharaf junction in western Nablus and embarked on intercepting Palestinian vehicles and citizens for security checks.

Meanwhile dozens of Jewish settlers swarmed in the morning the archeological site of Sebastia town northwest of Nablus under military protection.

Local sources said that an Israeli military force stormed the town cordoned off the archeological area prevented local residents from entering it or opening their nearby businesses before allowing settlers to storm the area and perform rituals at the site.

In Bethlehem Israeli soldiers prevented students from using a bypass road leading to their schools in Teqoa town forcing them to use rugged routes.
