Dozens suffer teargas suffocation in IOF raid on Nablus village

Sunday 4-April-2021

Dozens of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired teargas at the civilians in Lubban al-Sharqiya village in Nablus on Saturday evening.

Local sources said that IOF soldiers in a number of armored vehicles roamed the village’s streets while firing teargas canisters and stun grenades.

They said that dozens of civilians were treated in the field due to suffocation from inhaling the teargas fired by the soldiers adding that doors of a number of shops and houses were damaged due to the IOF firing of stun grenades.

The village has recently been the target of repeated IOF and Jewish settlers’ raids that attempt to control an archeological site near it that dates back to the Ottoman era.
