The residents of Dura town in southern al-Khalil have continued to rally on their lands in Khallet Taha area to prevent Jewish settlers and the occupation forces from appropriating 3000 dunums of land.
About a week ago a horde of settlers from the illegal settlement of Negohot started to build a road on a vast tract of Palestinian-owned land.
However local residents from Dura town set up a tent and camped in the area to prevent the settlers from building the road.
The lands threatened with annexation belong to many Palestinian families including the families of Suweiti Ghannam Sharwana and al-Kharroub.
The landowners have called for supporting them to afforest the area and strengthen their steadfastness in the face of Israeli settlement expansion plans.
