EU calls for investigating Palestinian child’s death

Friday 30-September-2022

The European Union has stressed that the circumstances of the Palestinian child Rayyan Suleiman’s death must be fully investigated by Israeli authorities calling for bringing perpetrators to justice.

In a press statement on Friday the European Union expressed its shock at the death of the child Rayyan who passed away after he suffered a heart attack whilst being chased by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the West Bank governorate of Bethlehem extending heartfelt condolences to his family.

“Under international law children enjoy special protection” the EU affirmed.

Earlier on Thursday seven-year-old child Rayyan was martyred after falling from a high place in the town of Taquu in Bethlehem while he was running away from IOF soldiers.

15 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli live bullets since the beginning of 2022 according to a report issued by the National Assembly for Martyrs of Palestine Families.
