BRUSSELS (PIC)– The European Union expressed concern in a statement on Sunday over the Israeli arrest of Palestinian legislative council speaker Dr. Aziz Dweik and other MPs.
It said that the EU missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah were disturbed over the Israeli arrest of MP Mohammed Totah and former minister Khaled Abu Arafa from the Red Cross headquarters in Jerusalem.
The statement said that the missions were also concerned at the arrest of Dr. Dweik and two other MPs Mohammed Tafesh and Abdul Jabbar Fuqaha.
