The Office of the European Union (EU) Representative in the occupied Palestinian territories has voiced its concern over the ongoing tension at the Aqsa Mosque.
In brief social media remarks the EU Office called on Israel to avoid acts of incitement and respect the status quo in the occupied holy city.
“Israeli authorities religious and community leaders from all sides should act urgently to calm down this explosive situation” the Office added.
