The European Union (EU) on Thursday condemned Israeli measures against three Palestinian schools in the West Bank days before classes restart following the summer vacation.
The EU in a statement expressed strong concern over Israel’s recent destruction of Palestinian school structures in Bedouin communities in the occupied West Bank.
“Every child has the right to safe access to education and states have an obligation to protect respect and fulfill this right by ensuring that schools are inviolable safe spaces for children” its statement underlined.
The Israeli occupation authority demolished three Palestinian schools in the West Bank a few days before the start of the new school year claiming they were built with no permits.
