The Egyptian authorities closed Saturday morning the Rafah crossing after being exceptionally opened over the past five days in both directions.
Gaza border crossings authority affirmed that Egyptian authorities informed them of their decision not to expend the crossing’s opening and to close it by Saturday morning.
The Egyptian authorities last Sunday told the Palestinian side in Gaza that it would open the crossing for five days as of Monday for the travel of people with humanitarian cases stranded passengers and students.
403 passengers have left the Gaza Strip on Friday while 98 others were denied travel via the crossing without known reasons.
