Member of Hamas’s political bureau Husam Badran on Wednesday said that Hamas has been invited by Egypt to attend a Cairo meeting on ways to end the Palestinian political division.
Badran said in press statements that Hamas has welcomed the invitation and is waiting for the arrangements to be completed.
A Hamas delegation to Egypt led by the head of the movement’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Tuesday met with the Egyptian Minister of Intelligence Abbas Kamel.
Hamas said in an official statement on Tuesday that a positive atmosphere prevailed during the meeting where bilateral relations and Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause were discussed.
