GAZA (PIC)– The Egyptian authorities on Monday opened the Rafah border crossing and allowed dozens of Palestinian passengers aboard seven buses to cross from the Gaza Strip.
11 buses carrying hundreds of Palestinians stranded in Egypt were also able to cross into Gaza.
Following months of closure the Rafah crossing will be exceptionally open to registered passengers for four days starting from Monday to Thursday according to the Egyptian authorities.
The Rafah crossing had been opened limitedly for only 15 days since the start of the current year. The Egyptian authorities always claim there are security reasons behind its closure for long months.
