Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem on Sunday announced that Egypt’s General Intelligence chief Abbas Kamel will visit the Gaza Strip soon.
Qasem said in a statement to Anadolu Agency that Major General Kamel’s visit to Gaza which was scheduled for last week was postponed and will take place soon.
Qasem affirmed that Hamas and Egypt’s efforts are in full swing to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
Egypt’s General Intelligence chief was due to arrive in Gaza last Thursday to discuss several issues but the visit was delayed for “technical reasons”.
