The Egyptian authorities decided Saturday to exceptionally reopen the Rafah crossing for the return of a Palestinian economic delegation.
The delegation which includes more than 100 Gazan businessmen is the second of its kind that crossed the border terminal during November in order to participate in an economic conference in Egypt.
Gazans complain that frequent border closures by Egypt in conjunction with a ten-year-old Israeli blockade on the coastal enclave have contributed to the Strip’s worsening economic and humanitarian conditions.
