The Egyptian authorities decided on Thursday evening to open Rafah border crossing with Gaza Strip on Friday and Saturday to receive Palestinian pilgrims returning from the hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The movement will be only restricted in one direction from Egypt to Gaza to allow the Palestinian pilgrims’ return to the strip the crossing authorities clarified.
Controlled by Egypt the Rafah crossing is currently the only link between the Gaza Strip and the outside world since another two crossings are controlled by Israel.
