The Egyptian authorities are expected to open the Rafah border crossing so as to allow Palestinians who have been stranded in Egypt access into Gaza.
According to a statement late Thursday by the crossings and borders commission the Egyptian authorities will unblock the Rafah crossing in one direction for three days starting Saturday morning.
Egypt has kept the border crossing closed for over one month and a half leaving thousands of Palestinians mostly humanitarian cases stranded on both sides of the crossing.
