Delegations from Egypt arrived on Sunday in the Gaza Strip to follow up on the progress of the reconstruction efforts.
Anadolu news agency quoted an informed source as saying that four officials from the Egyptian intelligence service arrived in Gaza through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing.
The source explained that the intelligence officials held important talks with senior Hamas leaders in Gaza and discussed with them different issues of mutual interest including the reconstruction projects in the coastal enclave and a number of security files.
The officials also intend to visit the sites of the Egyptian projects that were inaugurated recently in Gaza.
A delegation of architects also entered Gaza through the Rafah border crossing to check on Egyptian reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
Earlier eight Egyptian journalists visited Gaza to cover their country’s efforts to rebuild what had been destroyed during the last war.
