An Egyptian delegation from the General Intelligence Directorate arrived in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday afternoon to meet with Palestinian officials.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Egyptian delegation entered Gaza through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing and would hold meetings with different Palestinian parties.
The reporter added that the same delegation had already held a series of meetings with Israeli officials during the last few days.
This is the first visit made by an Egyptian security delegation to Gaza since head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya returned recently from Cairo following successful meetings with local officials.
