An Egyptian security delegation on Friday night left the Gaza Strip through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing after holding meetings with Palestinian officials from Hamas and major factions.
The delegation led by Ahmed Abdul-Khaleq the official in charge of the Palestinian file at the Egyptian intelligence arrived in Gaza last Thursday and discussed with Hamas officials important issues related to the blockade and the need for Israel to respect the recent understandings over Gaza.
Last Friday Israel launched deadly attacks on Gaza killing and injuring dozens of Palestinian citizens before Egyptian mediators intervened and managed on Monday to reach a ceasefire.
