An Egyptian security delegation on Thursday afternoon entered the besieged Gaza Strip through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing and held meetings with officials from the Hamas Movement and other factions.

Immediately after its arrival in Gaza the Egyptian delegation visited the Rafah border crossing to see how it works.

A high-level Egyptian delegation from the intelligence directorate visited Gaza last Tuesday and met with senior Hamas officials and left on the same day.

An Egyptian security delegation on Monday morning arrived in the Gaza Strip to resume talks with the Palestinian factions on the reconciliation and ceasefire.

Palestinian Borders and Crossings Committee said in a statement that the Egyptian Intelligence representatives Ahmad Abdulkhaliq and Hammam Abu Zeid arrived in the Gaza Strip via Beit Hanoun crossing.

The delegation is set to meet with Palestinian faction leaders to discuss the reconciliation and ceasefire agreement with Israel.
