Eight administrative detainees on hunger strike for long days

Eight Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have been on hunger strike for long days in protest at their administrative detention with no trial or indictment.

The longest hunger-striking prisoner is Hudaifa Halbiya who has been on hunger strike for about 66 days. He was transferred on Tuesday to Kaplan Hospital following a sharp decline in his health condition.

The other hunger strikers are Ahmed Ghannam on hunger strike for 53 days Sultan Khallouf 49 days Ismail Ali 43 days Tareq Qa’daan 36 days Naser al-Jada 29 days Tha’er Hamdan 24 days and Fadi al-Harroub 23 days.

There is also another prisoner called Anas Awwad who has been on hunger strike for 27 days in protest at his isolation in Eshel jail.
