The Palestinian health ministry on Wednesday reported eight new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 1676 new positive tests and 334 recoveries in the West Bank the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report six of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank and two others from Gaza.
34 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and seven of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 97 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
95.5 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 3.4 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
