The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported eight new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 506 new positive tests and 609 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours. No relevant data on Jerusalem has been available.
According to the ministry’s daily report seven of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and one from the Gaza Strip.
34 critically ill COVID-19 patients are reportedly receiving intensive care in hospitals and five of them have been placed on ventilators.
88.3 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 10.9 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.8 percent of the total cases according to the data updated today by the ministry.
