The Palestinian ministry of health announced on Monday that eight deaths 823 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours 680 in the West Bank and 143 in Gaza Strip.
The ministry said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 170 recovery cases were recorded in the same period in the West Bank and 25 in Gaza Strip adding that the eight deaths were recorded in the West Bank.
It pointed out that 58 critically ill patients were admitted to intensive care units while 94 others were being treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 24 who have been placed on ventilators.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 97.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 1.3 percent and the death rate was 1 percent of all infections the ministry concluded.
