Qatari envoy Mohamed al-Emadi head of the Gaza reconstruction committee and UN envoy Nickolay Mladenov met in Gaza on Monday and discussed the humanitarian situation in the besieged coastal enclave and the joint efforts to improve it.
This came during a meeting between Emadi and Mladenov in the former’s office in Gaza according to a press release by the Qatari committee for the reconstruction of Gaza.
The two side discussed in particular the efforts being made to improve the electricity issue and carry out relief and employment projects in Gaza.
The Qatari envoy briefed the UN official on his country’s efforts to help the Gaza population and the recent financial assistance for Gaza and the West Bank.
For his part Mladenov valued the Qatari efforts and said the UN would continue to work with its friends in Qatar Norway and Switzerland and with all donors to help the Palestinians.
