Qatari ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi has reiterated his country’s position on the importance of achieving the inter-Palestinian reconciliation adding that Qatar strongly support the efforts being made in this regard.
In a meeting with officials from major Palestinian factions in Gaza Emadi said that Qatar’s efforts in Gaza are aimed at alleviating the suffering of the population and contributing to ending the Palestinian division.
The Qatari ambassador affirmed that his country is seeking to discuss with the Israelis the possibility of expanding the fishing area establishing an industrial zone and a seaport and solving the electricity issue in Gaza.
The ambassador stressed that Qatar would continue to support Gaza by all means possible.
He also saluted Egypt for its role in achieving the Palestinian reconciliation.
