Tunisia’s ex-president Mohamed Moncef Marzouki congratulated Hamas Movement on its 35th founding anniversary.
In an interview with the PIC Marzouki said that the Palestinian first uprising along with the launch of Hamas Movement confirm that the Palestinian people chose resistance path no matter how long the struggle against the Israeli occupation lasts.
This anniversary embodies the epic that has been going on for nearly a century against the Israeli apartheid he said.
The Gaza Strip and the Palestinian resistance represent a symbol of pride and resistance before the whole world he continued.
Marzouki further pointed out that the Israeli occupation represents the apartheid state saying that the latest Israeli election left the Palestinians before none other but the resistance option.
He also held Israel responsible for all the bloodshed that might occur as a result of the policies of the upcoming far-right government.
On the other hand he said that the Qatar World Cup confirmed the Arab peoples’ support to the Palestinian cause.
Israel was surprised by the importance of the Palestinian cause to all Arab fans during the World Cup he added.
The Israeli authorities well received the message that all Arab people reject normalization he said.
Meanwhile Marzouki stressed the urgent need for an international mobilization to end the Israeli 15-year siege on Gaza.
