Several Palestinian ex-detainees have continued their hunger strike in their sit-in tent in Ramallah city for the 12th consecutive day on Wednesday in protest at the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) persistence in depriving them of their monthly allowances.
The issue of the ex-detainees have been receiving popular support as well as solidarity by the Palestinian factions. Many representatives of legal and human rights institutions the media and national figures have been flocking to their sit-in tent in Ramallah.
The ex-detainees who have been holding a sit-in on Yasser Arafat Square in the city for 53 days running held the PA fully responsible for the humanitarian suffering that resulted from the PA’s decision to cut off their monthly payments.
