Ex-prisoners among several detainees reported in West Bank

Thursday 22-December-2016

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out at dawn Thursday a large-scale arrest and raid campaign throughout the West Bank.

According to the PIC reporter the ex-prisoner Mohamed Allan was arrested when Israeli forces stormed his house south of Nablus after being summoned for investigation more than once.

Allan was released from Israeli jails in November 2015 after being engaged in hunger strike for 65 days in protest against his administrative detention.

IOF soldiers also stormed Balata refugee camp and broke into a Palestinian resident’s house only few hours after his release from Israeli jails.

Another young man was arrested after Israeli forces stormed his house in al-Khalil.

In Jenin Israeli soldiers raided Araba town and broke into the ex-prisoner Muna Qaadan’s house at dawn today. She was investigated for nearly two hours during the raid.

Similar raids were carried out late Wednesday in Jenin city while a checkpoint was erected at the entrance to Yamoun town.

Meanwhile clashes broke out in Qalqilia when dozens of Israeli military vehicles stormed the city from its eastern entrance amid heavy firing of teargas bombs.

Several teargas suffocation cases were reported during the clashes.

Several shops and houses were stormed during the raid including a journalist’s house.

Israeli forces carry out raid and arrest campaigns throughout the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem almost on daily basis.
