Palestinian citizens on Saturday evening fended off extremist Jewish settlers as they attacked homes in Huwara town south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources a horde of settlers showered homes in the town with stones before local youths confronted them and forced them to escape the area.
Windows of some homes sustained damage in the attack.
Soon later a large number of Israeli forces stormed the outskirts of the town provided protection for them and helped them withdraw to their settlement.
In a separate incident a Palestinian child was injured on the same day when settlers hurled stones at him in southern al-Khalil.
Local official Fuaad al-Amour said that settlers from the illegal settlements of Ma’on and Havat Maon stormed at-Tawba village in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil under military protection and threw stones at 14-year-old Issa Awad and his cattle adding that the kid suffered injuries in the attack.
