FIDDER organizes protest in solidarity with Jerusalem in Istanbul

Saturday 13-January-2018

FIDDER association on Friday organized a protest in support of Jerusalem in Istanbul as part of the “Jerusalem Electronic Day” campaign launched by the Popular Conference of the Palestinians Abroad.

Head of FIDDER association Mohammed Msheinesh said in his speech during the protest that the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital is a blatant aggression against the Palestinian rights and a flagrant violation of international law.

Msheinesh pointed out that the Arab silence with which the US Jerusalem move was met encouraged the US to take further steps against the Palestinians including cutting financial aid to UNRWA which means dropping the refugees issue and exacerbating the suffering of more than 5.5 million Palestinian refugees.

The protesters called on the international community to shoulder its political and moral responsibilities and act in accordance with the international resolutions under which the US decision is deemed void.

They hailed the Palestinian people and their intifada especially in Jerusalem against the Israeli settlement and Judaization projects.

Palestinian and Turkish flags as well as pictures of Occupied Jerusalem martyr Ibrahim Abu Thurayya and captive Ahed al-Tamimi were raised in the protest.
