Families of Israeli captives block road before Palestinian workers

Sunday 18-September-2022

Members of families of Israeli soldiers who are being held captive in the Gaza Strip protested on Sunday near the northern Gaza border blocking the way of tens of buses carrying Palestinian workers from the enclave to their workplaces in 1948 Occupied Palestine (Israel).

One of the protesters near the Erez crossing stressed that “the action was directed at Benny Gantz” the Israeli army minister who was chief of staff during the 2014 offensive on Gaza.

Israeli soldier Hadar Goldin’s father Simcha was quoted as saying that it’s inconceivable for Arab workers to enter from Gaza before the soldiers are brought back.

Goldin demanded that Gantz and Israeli prime minister Yair Lapid “apply pressure on Hamas and the residents of Gaza in order to bring back the soldiers before making any agreement or (giving) any economic benefit of one sort or another.”
