Family of Palestinian prisoner demands moving him to closer jail

Tuesday 9-January-2018

The sister of a Palestinian sick detainee Othman Younis from Senneriya town south of Qalqilya demanded moving her brother from Nafha far jail in the south to a close prison so that her elderly sick mother can visit him.

Manal Younis told the Prisoners Media Office that her mother cannot visit Othman in Nafha jail due to her illness especially that the visit takes a long time from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.

She elaborated that her brother asked his mother during the last visitation not to visit him anymore because of her sickness.

Captive Othman is the only prisoner from Qalqilya who is held in Nafha jail which makes his mother travel alone for long hours in order to see her son she added.

Israeli occupation forces had recently transferred prisoner Othman who is serving a sentence to four-life imprisonments to Ashkelon Israeli jail then moved him back again to Nafha at the pretext of overcrowdedness in Ashkelon.
