Fatah-affiliated security elements in Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp near the Lebanese city of Sidon continue to prevent local residents from reaching their homes in Attaira neighborhood and arrest anyone who tries to do so.
According to the News Observer in the camp Fatah gunmen from the national security arrested several young men recently after they entered or tried to enter their homes in Attaira neighborhood.
All the detained young men were transferred to Fatah headquarters in the camp tortured photographed with amounts of drugs and then handed over to the Lebanese security services.
The detainees were also accused of having ties with the Bilal Bader group and assisting terrorists.
Any new detainee from the neighborhood also receives the same treatment from the national security.
Local residents believe that the Fatah faction wants to keep their neighborhood destroyed and prevent them from returning to it to make repairs to their homes and restore their lives back.
Renewed armed clashes broke out a week ago in the camp between gunmen from the Bilal Bader group and Fatah (national security).
Four Palestinians were killed and 15 others suffered injuries in the events which also led to widespread damage to homes and property especially in Attaira neighborhood.
