BEIRUT (PIC)– The Hamas information official in Lebanon Ra’fat Morra stated that his Movement was lately exerting concerted political and security efforts to prevent the spread of the political crisis between Hamas and Fatah factions to the refugee camps abroad and warned against sliding down behind threats to kill Hamas leaders and its members and supporters in Lebanon.
Morra revealed in a statement to Quds Press that Hamas had asked the Lebanese security and judiciary to deal seriously with gunmen who are affiliated with Fatah who had threatened to liquidate all Hamas leaders and sympathizers.
He said: “We have asked the judicial and security apparatuses in Lebanon to move to arrest the criminals before they could carry out their threats which were broadcast explicitly by all the media outlets.”
Morra also mentioned that gunmen tried to assassinate Abu Ahmed Fadl the political relations officer in Hamas in the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp. They also shot at the political headquarters of Hamas in the Baddawi refugee camp in northern Lebanon and committed acts of sabotage and vandalism in different other camps he elaborated.
