The Fatah Movement’s Central Committee has called on the international community to develop a new mechanism capable of setting a sound foundation for a peace process and sponsoring it in order to reach a just political solution to the Palestinian cause.
This came in a statement released on Sunday by the committee following a meeting in Ramallah chaired by president Mahmoud Abbas.
The committee examined the current situation and the political moves taken at the Palestinian regional and international levels in the aftermath of the US administration’s recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and its embassy relocation decision.
The statement reiterated Fatah’s rejection of the US hostile steps and positions against Jerusalem the Palestinian people and their leadership.
