Violent clashes broke out overnight Sunday shortly after the Israeli occupation forces rolled into Ramallah’s eastern town of Silwad in the central West Bank.
According to local sources heavily-armed Israeli patrols moved into Silwad at around 11:00 p.m. and raked through the Old City sparking fierce clashes with Palestinian anti-occupation youth.
No injuries were reported in the confrontations which eye-witnesses said make part of incessant Israeli attempts to quell anti-occupation protests and terrorize civilians throughout the occupied West Bank.
