Five Israelis wounded in Qassam missile explosion

Nazareth – Five Israeli settlers in Sderot were wounded on Tuesday one of whom was in a critical condition after a Palestinian home made missile slammed the factory he was working in and its shrapnel hit his head sources in the Israeli police said.

They added that many workers suffered nervous breakdowns while one of the injured was rushed to Soroka hospital in Beer Sheba in view of the seriousness of his condition.

The factory was ablaze but local firefighters managed to contain the fire after calling in planes to assist in extinguishing it.

The Qassam Brigades armed wing of the Hamas Movement fired two rockets Tuesday morning at Sderot and a third at Be’iri settlement.

Fighters of the same armed wing also announced responsibility for firing three Al-Yassin projectiles and two RPGs at a house east of Jabalia north of the Strip where elements of a special IOF unit were entrenched after infiltrating into the area.

The armed wing said that its attacks were in retaliation to the IOF crimes against the Palestinian people.

Meanwhile a Palestinian young man was badly bruised on Tuesday in the vicinity of Nablus city in the West Bank after IOF soldiers severely beat him without any justification according to witnesses.

They added that Suleiman Salahat 28 was carried to Rafidia hospital in Nablus for urgent treatment.
