The Palestinian minister of health Mai al-Kaila announced on Wednesday that five deaths 1259 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The minister said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 360 recovery cases were recorded in the same period 240 in the West Bank and 120 in Gaza Strip adding that three deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip and two in the West Bank.
She pointed out that 63 critically ill patients were admitted to intensive care units while 102 others were being treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 24 who have been placed on ventilators.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 97.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 1.6 percent and the death rate was 1 percent of all infections the minister concluded.
