The Palestinian ministry of health announced on Friday that five deaths 5380 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 888 recovery cases were recorded in the same period adding that two deaths were recorded in the West Bank and three others in the Gaza Strip.
It pointed out that 63 critically ill patients were admitted to intensive care units while 118 others were being treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 18 who have been placed on ventilators.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 92.5 percent while the rate of active infections reached 6.5 percent and the death rate was 1 percent of all infections the ministry concluded.
