Four Palestinians injured during Kafr Qadum peaceful march

Friday 31-March-2017

Four Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire as clashes erupted Friday east of Qalqilia when Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) suppressed the anti-settlement weekly march in Kafr Qadum town.

The local activist Murad al-Shteiwi pointed out Israeli forces stormed the town amid heavy firing of teargas bombs and rubber bullets.

At least four locals suffered different injuries after being directly targeted with rubber bullets he added.

Hundreds of local youths and foreign activists had participated in the march marking the 41st anniversary of the Palestinian Land Day.

Meanwhile an Israeli bulldozer stormed the town and deliberately destroyed the main water network that supplies local residents.

A similar march was organized in Bil’in town west of Ramallah in commemoration of the Land Day.

During the march the participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of national unity and constants.

The protesters also set fire to Israeli flags once they approached the separation wall.

Weekly marches are organized throughout West Bank towns and villages in support of Palestinian resistance and in protest against Israel’s racist policies.
