Monday 27-December-2021

At least four Palestinian citizens suffered injuries during clashes on Sunday evening with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Ramallah and Qalqilya.

In Ramallah clashes between young men and soldiers took place in al-Mughayir village.

Local sources said that three young men were wounded during the events which started after the IOF stormed the village.

Similar clashes also broke out in al-Jalazon refugee camp in northern Ramallah after local residents organized a march in support of al-Burqa village in Nablus — where extremist settler groups launched attacks against homes in recent days.

The IOF fired rubber bullets and showered the participants in the march with stun and tear gas grenades while the young men blocked the road at the entrance to al-Jalazon camp with torched tires and rocks and hurled stones at the troops.

In Qalqilya a teenager was reportedly wounded by a rubber bullet on Sunday evening during clashes with the IOF in Kafr Qaddum village.

Eyewitnesses said that a 16-year-old boy suffered a rubber bullet injury in his chest and was rushed to a hospital in Qalqilya.

Clashes were also reported in al-Baqi’ah plains area in the northern Jordan Valley.

Head of the Atouf village council Abdullah Bisharat said that clashes happened between dozens of local youths and Israeli soldiers in al-Baqi’ah area east of Atouf village.
