Four Palestinians were shot and injured in their limbs by Israeli gunfire and dozens of others suffered breathing problems in clashes that erupted on Friday afternoon in the flashpoints east of the Gaza Strip.
The PIC reporter in Khan Younis said that Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) showered Palestinian youths with bullets and tear gas grenades. The wounded were transferred to the hospital while those who suffered suffocation were treated in the field he added.
The Palestinian youths were demonstrating near the security fence which separates the city from 1948 Occupied Palestine.
The PIC reporters in Gaza said that demonstrations which were organized in solidarity with the hunger striking detainees in Israeli jails and in protest at the ongoing Gaza siege took place in five flashpoints with IOF soldiers east of Khan Younis al-Bureij refugee camp Gaza city and in northern Gaza Strip.
The youths torched car tires at al-Awdah Street east of the Gaza Strip and managed to hoist the Palestinian flags at the Israeli security fence.
