The Palestinian health ministry in the West Bank on Friday evening announced the death of other two COVID-19 patients aged 40 and 81 in Deir Sammit town in al-Khalil and Jericho city.
Earlier on the same day health minister Mai al-Kaila reported two new deaths associated with COVID-19 and 724 new positive tests and 164 recoveries in Palestinian areas during the last 24 hours.
According to minister Kaila the rate of recovery among COVID-19 patients in the West Bank and Jerusalem has climbed to 67.5 percent the rate of active cases has reached 31.9 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.6 percent of the total cases.
40 critically ill patients have also been admitted to intensive care units and six of them have been placed on ventilators.
