The Higher Commission for Palestinian Clans staged a sit-in outside the building of the Egyptian community in the Gaza Strip on Monday in protest at the deadly blasts that hit two Churches in Egypt.
A spokesman for the commission condemned the terror attacks in Tanta and Alexandria and expressed the Palestinian people’s solidarity with Egypt.
For his part Islamic Jihad official Khaled al-Batesh denounced all criminal and terror attacks that lead to the death of civilians around the world especially the deadly attacks in Egypt on Sunday.
Batesh stressed that such terror acts would do a disservice to the Arab nation and the Palestinian cause warning that such acts would only lead to more bloodshed.
Head of the Egyptian community’s cultural center Adel Abdul-Rahman in his turn expressed his thanks to the participants in the sit-in describing their demonstration as a message of full solidarity from the Palestinian people to the Egyptian people during such difficult days.
